Education of orphaned children has been a prime focus at Roshni Homes. Only by empowering these children with knowledge can we ensure that they can stand on their own feet tomorrow. A library is one of the key resources needed to spread knowledge, information and ideas.
The old library has served Roshni Homes well, however due to the growing number of students, it has become crowded and thus it has been decided to build a new library. The trust has already built the infrastructure, which has been earmarked for remodeling as the new library. We will greatly appreciate your help in helping us get this new library up and running. A detailed proposal can be furnished upon request.
Required: Water tank donation, cost: Rs.1.2 million: Water for 100 years!!!
Roshni Homes currently derives its water from underground using deep borehole pumps. However PCSIR lab reports indicate that the water is unfit for drinking. Thus we have made alternate arrangements to provide healthy and pure drinking water to the homes. However this arrangement is proving costly and the solution is to install a 200 gallon water tank along with a filtration unit. We would request generous donors to come forward to sponsor this proposal. A detailed report can be furnished regarding this upon request.
Required: Book donation
To open minds, all you need to do is open a book. We greatly believe in the contribution of books in helping spread knowledge and developing critical thinking among youth, which is why we encourage every child to adopt a book reading habit.
We are always looking for old or new book donations. Kindly ensure that your submissions are neat, clean and in good usable condition. In addition to books, you may also contribute educational CDs, DVDs to the library.
Sponsor a bus
A bus donation is a courteous and easy way to contribute to a noble cause. People can donate a new or a used school bus to Roshni Homes to help in smooth transportation and saving of capital cost.
If you are donating a used school bus, it must be well maintained and in good running condition. All donated school buses must have at least 35 seats and be driven by a diesel or a natural gas engine.
Computer donations
We accept computer donations (new/used) for our library and admin block as it helps us in saving administrative costs. The computers must be business models; not home models with the following minimum specifications:
